I bought an Aberlour 12 last month too, but it was to give away. let me know when you taste yours. I tried the Aberlour 15, it was gorgeous but prices at DFS raised from under $90 to $110 now (nuts). I also managed to get the Aberlour 18 at Sai Gon airport DFS which was selling at a $25 discount over Changi. apparently a pricing error which they had unfortunately rectified.
As for Dalmore, sure they do have it at Changi DFS. in fact there is now a Dalmore boutique at T2. typically you can get Dalmore 12, 15 and 18 (way over priced), also the Valour and Dominium. and some times they have Cigar Malt Reserve and King Alexander III. Unfortunately the very good and reasonably priced SG50 Pioneer Edition is gone now.
Not a big Macallan Fan, bit i'd still go for the Mac.
@hwchoy
I see. I heard the Dalmore cigar malt is quite unique and having discontinued and now re-entering the market seems to be a tempting choice.
Anyways I might not taste the Aberlour 12 soon as i've a few bottles opened and yet to finish but if I do open it I'll most definitely let you know!
As im travelling again i'm now deciding what should I get next from DFS. Any suggestions?
Typically I aim for sherry whiskies or do you have any recommendations on which I should try?
@thepeanut
I have just the thing for you. I should have got it but...
I saw two bottles of Jura Tastival 2016 at T3. packaging is the typical paper box so they are slightly worn, selling at $172.
BUTTTTTTTTTT its three sherry finished "We used an 11 year old Palomino Fino sherry cask, a 15 year old "Amoroso" oloroso sherry cask and a 30 year old "Apostoles" oloroso sherry cask"
and botted at 51% abv!
@hwchoy Wow certainly looks tempting!! I'll try to find that when im at the DFS! Thanks!!
@thepeanut

yo! looky looky!
@hwchoy Wow haha I can't wait to visit the DFS... hahahaha
@thepeanut
aww I still saw quite a few at T3 departure in early Jan.
