Newbie says Hi!

Hi I am hoping to develop my tastebuds by getting recommendations from this site on Single Malts or even other brands of whisky and what order they should be consumed in to develop a palate. So I would be looking for tasting kits/samples to start.

I have consumed with differing amounts of pleasure - Bells, the famous Grouse, Jack Daniels, Highland Park,and finally settled on Origin and Superstition from jura.

Who am i? Well I'm a middle aged civil servant in the UK, who collects audio CD's, music CD's, and books. I spend equal amounts of time reading, watching TV and doing work (and having fun - gaming ) on my PC. Being a Scot I celebrate Burns night, which is no hardship as I like Haggis and whisky and music!!!
