Hey all, relatively new Whisky victim here. So I’m asked to find a nice bottle of Whisky for myself for Christmas, and I’m a really big fan of Japanese whisky so far. I’m looking at The Hakushu 12 year, but I’m reading that it has some smokiness/peatiness to it. The only experience with peaty whisky that I’ve had was Lagavulin 16 year, and it was a little overwhelming for me. Can anybody compare the two in terms of peat/smokiness?
Thanks!
