This is arriving this afternoon.Really like Quarter Cask and Lore.Generally high marks in reviews, apart from Ralfy of course. If anyone has tried this I'd love yer feedback!
@Ian_Crombie I have tasted both the three wood and the four wood Laphroaig. I think that the three wood is of better quality.
@bedlamborn 3 Wood is rather good, despite 'mit farbstoff'..rather that than chill filtered!I like sherry finish on it,that makes it more mellow than Quarter Cask, although that is on sale at Amazon for £28 at the moment,so buy it now!!!
@Ian_Crombie Laphroaig and the the use of E150 or Farbstoff is one of the big sins for them. Also one big sin is the low ABV of 40% for most of their expressions.
@bedlamborn Yeah, you can keep Laphroaig 10 or Select.Quarter Cask,Triple Wood and Lore are the ones to try.Its strange but some very good whiskies can be 43%abv,but for me 40% just seems 'watery' and lacking in real flavour!
@Ian_Crombie I saw that laphroaig is coming out with a new batch of their cask strength. That I will try to get a bottle of.
@bedlamborn £70 for 10 yr old Cask Strength..not for me!!
